Gone with the River (Acoustic Version)

from Twelve Acoustic Pieces by Triddana

/

lyrics

All that I was,
All that I've lived,
Everything that I can remember
Lies in the past and will die in my mind.

Nobody can change what I've done
Nobody can rewrite my story
There's no regret that can rebuild what is lost
And I know that old good days will never come
Back again.

They're gone with the river,
Never will return; gone with the river
When all is gone with the river.
There's nothing more to do except to get up,
Carry on, and don't look behind.

Lessons are learnt only with pain,
But you must not feel guilty,
Soon you will know that every wound is a chance.

Yesterday's gone, all our deeds lie in the memories of people
And when it dies (at the end) it will be lost,
And I know
that old good days will never come back again.
